Why Should I Book With Excel?

Because booking your holiday car hire with Excel you get:

Does the Website show all availability?

The website shows all realtime availability and is up to date with the best prices. Occasionally the requested car shows as "On Request"  and a price may not be available.  This is perhaps maybe  you are requesting a car which may not be available, or requesting less that the minimum duration we are renting cars for.  In this case you need to send us a request via the website or email us on reservations@kassiopi.com and we will get back to you with a reply.

How can I make a booking with Excel Car Rental?

Booking with Excel is very easy.  You have the choice to either book via our easy to use online system, send us an email detailing all your requirements or simply contact us over the telephone to make an offline reservation. 

How much deposit do I need to pay and when is it due?

We require a deposit of 30% when you book your car hire.  When we receive this we will send you a confirmation of your booking. 

When is the balance due and how can I pay it?

The balance of your car hire is due before you collect your vehicle and this can be paid by credit / debit card through our secure payment system.

How old do I need to be to hire a car?

For insurance purposes we can only hire cars to clients between 25 years and 75 years old and hold a full, clean driving license for over 3 years.

If I book a car are there any hidden extras?

No, the price we quote is the price you pay and this includes free mileage regardless of the duration of the rental.  Providing you return the car with the same amount of fuel as when you collected it and you are on time, there will be nothing else to pay.  Please note however, if cars are not returned at the agreed time a charge for this will be applied immediately representing the costs we are likely to incur in providing a suitable vehicle for the next customer plus our administrative expenses.  Please go to our car rental page to get more details on insurance and getting the best from your car hire.

Is there an excess?

There is an excess of EUR 300.00, which will have to be paid in case of:

Is there an extra insurance I can pay to cover damage to tyres, sill, mirrors?

Yes, damages to tyres, sill and mirrors can be waived by a special insurance (Extra Vehicle Protection) of EUR 7.50 per day, except for groups I,J,L,K,M,P and Q where the charge is EUR 10.00 per day.

What time do car rentals start and what time do they end?

For cars hired locally from our office rentals begin at 09:30 and return time on the completion day is 08:30 in order for us to have time to prepare the car for the next customer.  Cars booked to be collected at the airport will be there for when you arrive on your flight, as for the return flight, we expect cars to be returned around 2 -3 hours before the flight time, again this allows us time to prepare the car for the next customer.  For this reason when you book the car we require all flight arrival and departure times.

What is the procedure if the car is dropped off at a different location to which was arranged?

When you change the return location a higher rate may apply. Please contact us at Excel Cars/ The Travel Corner for details.

Do I need to bring my own child/baby seat?

Not necessarily.  If we are notified in advance that you require baby seats or boosters we can provide them free of charge.  However, please note that safety standards and requirements may differ in Greece to other countries and size and design may be limited.  If you are in any doubt we would advise you to bring your own.  For safety reasons, parents are required to secure the baby seat into the vehicle themselves.

Will we be met at the airport?

We do not offer meet and greet at the airport, unless if you request it.  This is a more convenient service for customers to avoid having to the process of queuing to collect their vehicle. With the system we use, we request from you before your arrival,  all your personal details as in your license numbers, flight details and we leave the car at the airport car park for you. One day before your arrival we contact you and advice you on how to collect your vehicle.

How can i collect a car locally?

Apart from the airport collection, we can also deliver your car to your accommodation between the hours of 09:00-13:00 and 18:00-20:00, or you can collect locally from our office in Kassiopi from 09:30.

Please note that cars delivered to the accommodation or collected from our office, must be collected/returned at 08:30 of the completion day, in order for us to have time to prepare the car for the next customer. However, if you request in advance for the car to be returned later in the day, this will be concidered as an extra day of rental.

How much fuel will my hire car have on arrival?

When you collect your hire car it will have the minimum of 1/4 tank of fuel. Please ensure that it is returned with the same amount of fuel.

Where is the nearest petrol station in the area?

There are many fuel stations on Corfu Island. In Kassiopi we have one petrol station in Kassiopi and then the next one is Acharavi.

Where do I find Excel Cars?

Excel cars is located in the centre of Kassiopi, just before the main square, on the left. You will notice steps going down to it, it is the same building as The Travel Corner.
